<p class="bodytext">You can convert an MS Office document such as .doc, .ppt, and .xls to a PDF document, and insert it in Adobe Contribute web pages.</p><p class="bodytext">There are two ways to convert a Microsoft Word or Excel document to a PDF:</p>

<td colspan="2">Select an MS Office document, and then click <b>Open</b>.</td>

<td width="703">Insert the PDF as Embedded object converts the document to a PDF, and embeds the PDF document as an object.</td>

<td colspan="2">Select the website where you want to place your document.</td>

<td colspan="2">Click the <b>Choose Template</b> button

 to set an updated template for an MS Office document opened in Contribute.</td>

<td colspan="2">If you do not click the <b>Choose Template </b>button in the Open as New Page dialog box, the template that was last used to open a Microsoft word document is associated with the document you are currently opening. In addition, if this template does not match the template on the server, Contribute displays the Download Template dialog box. You can choose to do one of the following:</td>

<td colspan="2">Click the <b>Open</b> using the old template button to open the document using the old template.</td>

<td colspan="2">Click the <b>Download</b> and <b>Open</b> button to update the template with changes from the server, and then open the document.</td>

<td colspan="2"><b>Note: </b>When you click the <b>Choose Template</b> button, if the target website does not have templates, a message indicating that there are no templates, is displayed.</td>

<td colspan="2">(Optional) If you selected content in the document, and want to open the entire document instead of the selection, clear the <b>Open current selection only</b> check box.</td>

<td colspan="2">Click <b>Open</b>.</td>
